Our system stops the bleed. It puts that surplus straight into your pool, so you capture the whole 31-cent gap instead of donating it to the grid.

We watch your solar and your whole house, second by second. At 10:30am you've got 2.2kW spare, so the pool takes exactly 2.2kW and not a watt more. When the aircon fires at 3:10pm and only 0.8kW is left, we throttle the heat pump down to sip just that 0.8kW.
You only ever heat with surplus, so you buy almost nothing from the grid to warm the pool. And you don't lift a finger – the system does it on its own.
It works best with a pool blanket on at night and a solar system sized for the job. In a cloudy week there is less surplus, and the water will drop a few degrees.

Figures shown are modelled estimates for a typical 60,000 L pool at current Western Australian tariffs (Synergy A1 usage about 33c/kWh; DEBS feed-in 2c/kWh for midday exports, 10c after 3 pm) and will vary with your pool, shading, blanket use and solar system. "The usual way" means a gas or electric-element pool heater. The ~$3/day figure spreads the typical $14,000 install over about 13 years; running cost on surplus solar is near zero. We do not recommend or quote winter pool heating.
