What we collect, and what we do with it.

1. Who we are

Euroheat Australia designs and builds hydronic heating and cooling systems in Perth and south-west Western Australia. We have been doing it since 1992.

We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy covers this website and the enquiries that come through it.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Our free tools and guides ask for an email address before we send you the result. Depending on which one you use, we may also collect:

• Your name and email address – on every tool and guide that emails you a result.
• Your phone number – only where a form asks for it, and only if you choose to give it.
• Details about your project – floor area, suburb, build stage, slab or pour dates, glazing, insulation, what your quote does and does not include, whether you are building new or heating an existing home, and similar answers you type into the Running Cost Calculator, Thermal Risk Scan, Quote Comparison Decoder, Slab Pour Deadline Checker or the quiz.
• Anything you write to us – when you contact us about a project.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information as the Privacy Act defines it. We never collect payment card details on this website.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records technical information as you browse: the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, the device and browser you use, how you arrived (for example from a Google search or a Google ad), and how long you stay. This comes from Google Analytics – see section 4.

3. Why we collect it

• To send you what you asked for – the calculator result, the risk report, the guide, the checklist.
• To answer your enquiry and prepare advice, a roadmap or a quote for your project.
• To send you related, useful material by email about hydronic heating – until you tell us to stop.
• To understand what actually helps people – which pages get read, which tools get finished, which explanations work.
• To see whether our advertising is worth running – whether people who arrive from an ad go on to use the tools.

We do not sell your personal information. We never have.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used, and it runs as soon as you arrive.

Euroheat also advertises on Google. If you arrive from one of our ads, Google may set a cookie so that we can see whether that ad led to someone using a calculator or requesting a guide. We see this as counts and totals – how many people did what – not as a profile of you by name.

Turning it off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work. Google also publishes a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from measuring you on any website: search for "Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on".

5. Who else sees your information

Only the suppliers who make the website and our emails work. Each one is bound by its own privacy obligations, and none of them may use your information for their own marketing.

• Our email platform – stores your name, email address and the answers you gave a tool, so we can send you the result and any material you agreed to receive.
• Our website host – serves the pages and processes form submissions.
• Google Analytics – measurement, as described above.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it. Otherwise, we do not share it.

6. Information sent overseas

Some of the suppliers above store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By using our forms you agree to your information being handled that way. We take reasonable steps to use suppliers who are bound to protect it to a comparable standard.

7. Marketing emails and unsubscribing

When you download a guide or use one of our tools, we send you the result, and after that we may send you related material about hydronic heating. Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and we do not need a reason.

We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

8. How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and form submissions travel encrypted. Access to enquiry records is limited to the people at Euroheat who need it to do their job. We keep information for as long as it is useful for the purpose it was collected for, and then we destroy or de-identify it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever occurred that was likely to cause you serious harm, we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.

9. Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us to:

• Show you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct it if it is wrong or out of date.
• Delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop emailing you – either by clicking unsubscribe or by asking us.

Ask through our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days, and we do not charge for it.

10. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first through our contact page. We will investigate and write back to you.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The current version is always the one published here.

12. How to contact us

For anything in this policy – access, correction, deletion, unsubscribing or a complaint – use our contact page and say it is a privacy request. It reaches the right person.
